The SuperBowl Fitness Game

Are you ready for some football?  Tonight the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots go head-to-head in SuperBowl XLIX!

Of course, I’d rather be watching my Ravens in the game.  I’m not really a fan of either of these teams, but as they say in B’more…I’ll be rooting for whoever is playing against the Pats. Go Seahawks!

For football fans, the food is just as important as the game. There’s sure to be buffalo wings, potato skins, chips and salsa, pizza, pulled pork and lots of other yummy, not-so-healthy eats gracing the tables of Super Bowl parties. But if you’re looking for a way to get a workout in and have a little friendly competition of your own, challenge your friends and family to this year’s Powered By BLING SuperBowl Fitness Game.

With 4 quarters and all these plays to get in a little bit of extra fitness, you’ll be needing that halftime break. Don’t forget to hydrate between plays and at halftime and treat yourself to some healthy versions of your favorite game days snacks.  Check out some of my favorite SuperBowl snacks:
