Fitness Friday: Featured Fitness Bloggers

FitnessFridays

It’s Fitness Friday!  This week, in addition to providing you with a little weekend inspiration, I am featuring 4 Bloggers who have hit it out of the park this year by Challenging Themselves to Cross Their Own Personal Finish Lines!

Each of these women crossed the finish line in 2014 of a race distance they had never completed before.  Kudos to them!!!  All their training paid off and in the end they earned some BLING!!!!

The three women I am featuring today are Gabi of Lean Green Island Girl, Mary Beth of Tutus and Tennies, Raechel of Psyched2Run, and Jennifer of TwentiesChic.

1)  Gabrielle “Gabi” of Lean Green Island Girl is from a small island in the Caribbean, Curacao.  In her heart of hearts, she will always be an island girl!  Gabi is a health & behavior coach focused on helping clients change their behaviors and master healthy habits so they can live happier, healthier and more balanced lives.  As a runner and triathlete, Gabi set some big 2014 goals for herself.  She is currently training for Ironman Louisville in August and the Marine Corps Marathon in October.   The accomplishment she is being featured for this week is her first half Ironman, Ironman 70.3 Raleigh. Check out her post detailing her first half experience here.

2)  Mary Beth of Tutus and Teenies  ran her first 10K in Austin, Texas in April.  Mary Beth and the other half of Tutus and Tennies, Renee, hope to inspire others to “invest in a sports bra, dust off the tennies and get out there”.  Follow them on their journey running around the world.  But first, check out Mary Beth’s first 10K experience here

3)  Raechel of Psyched2Run is a college psych teacher whose philosophy is using science to strengthen her mental arsenal against running.  Like me, Raechel has a Love/Hate relationship with running.  As she says, right when you think you’ve nailed it, it punches you in the face.  Rachael is constantly striving to improve her running because she never knows what the day’s run will bring.  Raechel blogs about sport psychology and probably used some of her own tips to finish her first Ragnar Relay!  Check out the post that details her 24 hour adventure at the Florida Keys Ragnar Relay here.

4) Jen is a full-time lawyer, blogger, and BeachBody Coach.  She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and is enjoying her journey to become fit, one fun 5k at a time. Jen recently completed her first 5K Color Run!  Check out all the fun she had here.
